Designing Focused Lives in a Distracted World

Discover the story behind the routines, reflections, and small mindset shifts that shaped this blog’s journey.

Creating Space for What Matters

Hi, I’m Jordan Fields, a lifestyle coach based in New York City.

I’ve always been fascinated by one simple question: why does staying focused sometimes feel harder than actually doing the work? Looking back, I can see that it began with my first job out of college, where I was juggling multiple projects and deadlines, spending countless late nights wondering why time slipped away so quickly. Between endless notifications, packed schedules, and the pressure to always be “on,” I’ve spent years searching for ways to bring calm and clarity into everyday life.

Today, I work as a lifestyle coach, helping individuals feel less overwhelmed and more intentional about how they spend their time and energy. In working closely with people from different walks of life, I’ve seen how productivity isn’t about rigid systems; rather, it’s about building habits and routines that actually fit real schedules and real personalities. The lessons I’ve learned through coaching conversations and lived experience naturally shape what I share here.

Outside of work, you will probably find me enjoying the quiet mornings while sipping on some strong coffee. I am also an ardent fan of long walks, as well as the occasional deep dive into books about habits, psychology, or personal growth. Even so, I wouldn’t claim myself to be a productivity superhero, and that’s exactly why this blog exists.

I started this space as a way to share practical ideas that helped me feel less overwhelmed and more intentional. You can think of it as a conversation between friends trying to figure things out together. This blog is about finding balance: getting things done without burning out, building focus without sacrificing joy, and creating routines that support real life (the messy moments included).

If you’re here looking for practical tips, honest reflections, or just a reminder that you’re not the only one trying to stay on top of things, you’re in the right place. Thanks for reading and being part of the journey.
